SOUND DESIGN DEMO REEL

MUSIC DEMO REEL

Cyberpunk 2077 Music Contest

On November 30th, 2022, CD Projekt Red ended a music contest for their game Cyberpunk 2077. For the contest, anyone around the world could submit a song to be featured on the in-game radio station “GrowlFM” for the upcoming Phantom Liberty game expansion. “Brainpan” is my submission to the contest.

Ableton

My DAW of choice is Ableton where I am proficient in general use, effect chains, plug-ins and VSTs (including Waves), and signal processing for engineering, mixing, and mastering. Using studio and field recordings that I create along with synthesizers, I can design sound effects by layering sounds and engineering them with signal processing plug-ins like equalizers, compressors, reverb and delays, and others. Using my skills, I can design sounds for weapons, gameplay mechanics, foley, vocals, environmental ambience, UI, and other elements of the soundscape for an array of audio aesthetics.

The two images to the left show my experience layering sounds to create a gunshot along with using plug-ins to engineer the Flamethrower sound as heard in the beginning of my sound design demo.

Wwise

While working on games, I have utilized the Wwise audio engine to implement my work directly into Unity. Working with the Wwise middleware, I have imported and organized assets, created events, designed auxiliary buses and attenuation effects for surround audio, adjusted sound properties, and implemented audio within game engines via scripting in C#.

The four images to the right show my experience creating an event for an ambient sound in Cold Blooded, asset organization where I organized audio files into easily digestible categories, creating an attenuation effect, and designing a reverb auxiliary bus to assign to reverb zones in the game engine editor.
